Because that's not many deaths.

Harry and Voldemort? I still think that is too predictable. But oh well.

Yeah she meant two main characters, i have seen it in news reports and stuff. But it's almost certain that other (less important) people will die too.

Alot of people are saying Harry is a horcrux, so he will kill himself. But this is too predictable, and JK wouldnt write something predictable!! I think maybe Harry wil live, there is so much speculation that he will die.

I read that Rowling cried while writing this last book, so I think the two characters that die must be main characters and at least be one that we will be very sad to see die. Originally, when I heard two characters were going to die, I didn't really even think to include Voldemort because I thought that was a given. Either way, I hope this final book is a good ending to the series and won't leave us too unsatisfied.

She only said that two people will die that she ORIGINALLY didn't plan on killing off... the actual quote being:

JKR: I changed [the epilogue] slightly. I have 2 characters that I intended to keep alive, die. But, then that's been taken to mean that ONLY 2 characters die in the book... but it's a bloodbath. (Audience gasps)

Ross: It's a bloodbath is it?

JKR: No, it's not a bloodbath but it's more than 2.

excerpt from "Friday Night with Jonathan Ross: Interview of J.K. Rowling." BBC One, July 6, 2007.

Jo herself said that more than 2 people die! She definitely was talking about 2 main characters who got killed that she didn't initially intend, but those are just 2 MORE to the already-existing deaths!

i guess that would be harry and voldemort... they must die both because they are linked with each other, that's why they sense each other, and that is also the reason why harry exhibits same talents as that of voldemort... its the link between them that supports life to voldemort thus they both have to die if they really wish for all evils to end...
