it's in a 79' camaro its a new engine with 2200 on it,i can't get it to sound like the 4 barrels are going.they open up but it is'nt like it should be, thanks

First off check for any leaks vacume or air leaks around the shafts of the carb. I would recommend changing to the eldebrock carb. That is what I had to do. I rebuilt my quadrajet and still had problems but after switching carbs most of problems were gone. Also check to see how your car is geared in the rear end. Higher number gears will give you quicker take off but less gas mileage

i think there called line locks when it engages the front brakes so you can smoke tires. are u pressin the gas pedal ALL the way down. bc i heard that on 4 barrels when u press on the gas when 2 barrels are openin it feels liek the pedal wont go no more and u gotta press harder to open all 4 up

Check for vacuum leaks. Check your timing. Buy a Demon or Edelbrock carb. The Quadrajet maybe/is junk.

hold down the brake and push on the gas, thats how to burn and smoke the tires.
