A true leader does both...there is a time to lead and a time to follow..you just need to know when ...and then there is a time to stand alone.
In my work, I must lead even when I am just too emotionally spent. I counsel teens and I teach parenting classes to parents of out of control teens.

I follow, but sometimes, there are times where I just need to break away from the pack and lead myself!

It really depends on where I'm at, who I'm with and of course whats going on...
If I trust the leaders judgement about a particular thing, then I will follow...If not ~ I'll lead or go my own way...

I used to follow until I realized people were leading me in the wrong direction, now I do what I want, when I want and if people want to come along fine, if not, who cares, not me. : )
