I think he'll 100% opt out of his contract, and I think he will want to go West Coast, and get as far away from the New York media madness as possible. I can't say that I blame him. I wouldn't be surprised to see him with the Angels next year at all.

I think there's a good chance he'll opt out, and there will be many teams after him. I read an article in the New York Daily News, and most people seem to think he'll sign an 8-year $200 Million Dollar Contract, ensuring that he will break Bonds' record in the uniform of the team he signs with.

As a Yankee fan, I wouldn't be devastated if he left. The Yankees haven't won with A-Rod, losing him will take $16 million off the payroll (Texas pays the rest), and the Yankees can use their resources to sign or trade for a few young players. Also, if he left, maybe we wouldn't hear the crap about the Yankees having a high payroll anymore. Oh, and the Angels DO have a ton of money. Artie Moreno is loaded, and he is making more money by having "Los Angeles" in front of Anaheim. He knows what he's doing.

And I would hardly call the Yankees a laughingstock. So, they had a bad first half, things will get better for them in the second half now that the pitchers are healthy, and the bullpen is coming around.

If A-Rod were to opt out I do not think he would sign with the Angels.

I think he will opt out of his contract and the Angels do need a third baseman, but the Angels will not take him if he wants to much money. The Angels don't have the salary cap that the Yankees do.

I definately think he will opt out of his contract, but I think if the ownership situation get taken care of he will go to the Cubs to be with Lou Pinella.

I don't see why A-Rod would want to leave NY....There are always a lot of rumors of him leaving or being traded, but I think both the Yanks and A-Rod need each other.....

I think he will opt out for sure. But I'm not sure where he might end up. Whatever team does want to go after him are going to have to have the money to afford him though.

Angels a possibility...Guerrero and A-Rod-wow... I'm praying Barry talks him into becoming a Giant though! Worst case scenario...Dodgers.

The guy's making $25 million a season playing in the biggest market in all of sports. Despite the fact that they are the laughing stock of baseball this year, I'd be shocked if he left the Yankees.

Oh, and to the above person, there's no salary cap in baseball.

i know the odds are 50-1 according to usa today, but i could see a-rod in a giants jersey, they have a lot of money, and he would look better in orange and black, than red or blue of the angels and dodgers
