I got a cramp on my left side of my pelvic area about a week after conception, and I believe it was implantation. But I didn't throw up until a little after that...maybe 2 weeks after conception. The embryo has to be implanted to start making the pregnancy hormones that cause morning sickness and other symptoms, and implantation genrally occurs 6-9 days after sex. Most women start getting nausea 2-4 weeks after conception.

Not in the first week. That usually happens closer to the missed period.

I did not start feeling sick until after I missed my period - say about 7 weeks after my period... then I felt sick every day.
