You become an accessory to the crime.
Friend or not - it's theft and at that level - a Felony.
And why are you even asking? You know it's wrong - you should have reported it immediately. You don't and it comes out later you knew - your job will be out the door as well.

If you say nothing you keep getting ripped off.
This isn't a true friend, true friends don't steal.
You need to fire her and call the cops so she can get charged. What she's doing is a criminal offense!
No friend is worth this, she's no true friend, call the cops, save yourself. $9000 is a LOT. That's half the cost of a car! Wake up, that's your business' income, she's stealing right out of YOUR pocket!

Yes you should. The amount you discovered may accumulate if you keep your mouth shut. Although he is your friend, it’s not right to take or steal money from the company for it may endanger the well being of your company. You may notify your internal auditor to investigate further your discovery without revealing your identity.

What are you waiting for. A person who is dishonest could never be my friend. Where are your ethics? Inform her that you will bring the matter to life and than go ahead with telling your boss about it. Don't keep quite. All your colleagues know that you are friends and it might be that they think you are in it together.

Absolutely positively, go collect your thoughts to deliver a precise account of the events, and then set up an urgent meeting with your top banana.

See this post? It is posted on two lines. Report that person right now, RIGHT NOW, do NOT finish reading this post and stop everything else and report that person right now.
Done it? Stop right now and do it!! Okay, it should be done by now. Read the other answers, they are excellent.

You are an accomplice.
Go tell... and ask they keep you out of it, when they deal with her.
