How can I get my natural gas turned on? I have no credit..?

Someone please help me figure this out.
I've called three or four gas companies and no one will hook up my gas without credit. Im only 21 and never got a credit card or anything. Am I going to have to live in my new house without hot water? There has to be something!!

Pay the bill up front. They will all take cash. But before you get any credit established, you will need to pay each month before the month starts or they will disconnect you in a NY minute.

Maybe they will let you pay a deposit.
