Heck, what catigory does wheel chair information go?
The tire has been causing problems and was evaluated and, I think, the evaluators saw a problem. They are attempting to get me a new chair if the insurance will allow. Now, my left rear tire feels bumpy. Tonight, it wouldn't move and the light went on red. The chair finally moved after a few tries. The wheel is a bit wobbly and rubs against something by it. Do you know what could be wrong with it?

Who are the evaluators and why do you trust them. Many times people try to take advantage of us becasue they assume we have unlimited insurance backing due to our disability. It is pathetic. DO NOT LET ANYONE ELSE LOOK AT YOUR WHEELCHAIR until you determine they are legit. If they were honest they would just replace the wheel, but nooooo, they have to and want to replace the whole chair. These snake oil salesmen should be investigated. Report them to the Better business Bureau immediately. If not, they will continue ripping you off and others like us who may be weak in body....but strong in mind and action.

DO NOT LET THE "HEALTHY" TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU

Have you been bumping into things a lot? If so, you may have damaged the axle, even the slightest bend you could feel. If that is the case it could be messing up the gear housin if it electric. Or it could be because your tire has a uneven amount of rubber on one side. Tires(the ones filled with air) come with a slight air bubble in them. This is normal for a new tire, but the company that makes it should have balanced it out evenly, causing you no problems with the tire.

Sounds to me that your tire has seperated (BUBBLES) and will not go much further. We call these tires "may POPS" May Pop today May Pop tomorrow. It's most likely rubing against the frame of your wheel chair causing the wheel chair not wanting to move. Sorry, good luck!

The wheel may be out of alignment. It is almost impossible to permanently fix, and it is usually best to just replace the chair. Sounds like that's the road you're going down, good luck.

OK, a power chair of unknown make or model, unknown tire size, etc. This will be easy! :-)

This sounds like more of a motor or clutch issue- you would not be getting a new chair just because of a bad tire, wheel, or bearing.
