If I had the dough and were ever in that situation, sure. His / her job needs some satisfaction. Most people equate money with praise. If I were in his position I'd appreciate much more an earnest smile and understanding of gratitude. But that's just me.

Did you order it--then yes. If it arrives as a gift, no, that was the job of the one sending the basket, not you as the one receiving it. And If he stood there expecting a tip from you, that's bad service.

I even tip the roller skate girls at Sonic. If someone can't take a tip, they will refuse it. Also, I always give more than the standard amount.

No but I went to Vegas once and thought I was suppose to tip the valet when I gave him my keys and when I left the casino! So they got $5.00 twice from me!!!!!!!!!!!
