The reason you are getting so many different responses is because there is no right answer to this question. I can assure you that in the wild the fish are not fed once per day at 6 o' clock.

Come up with a schedule that suits you. You don't need a schedule at all. Feed once per day or twice. You can feed once one day, twice the next - morning, noon, or evening. You can skip a day altogether. All that matters is that you don't feed the fish more then it will eat (so food doesn't rot in the tank) and keep in mind they are cold blooded, can go a long time without food, and don't need alot to maintain - you do not need to stuff them to the gills every time you feed them. The more times per day you feed them, the less you feed them at each one. And if you go away for the weekend it's healthier not to feed them then to rely on water polluting 'feed blocks' or trust somebody that might mess it up.

Depending on how often you would like to feed them. Once a day or three times! Smaller amounts for more feedings and only as much as they can finish in about 1 minute. Watch him and see how much he eats in one feeding. Fish can be even starved for a couple days and still be OK. You want to make sure that you do not over feed them though as this results in a nasty aquarium or fish bowl.

I used to feed mine once a day. I used the flake food, one or two small flakes was all he would eat. That fish lived for 2 years until he jumped out of the tank while I was at work.

I feed my adult Betta's twice a day. I just feed them smaller portions. A Betta's stomach is only as big as their eye, so it doesn't take much to overfeed them. You really can't go wrong. Just monitor your fish well and make sure you don't overfeed them.

Once a day, just a pinch. They don't need much more because they're fairly lethargic when kept in small enclosures by themselves. Good luck!

Once in the mrning and then once at night. Unless you have one of those dissolve food (it's white and shaped like a small pebble) then you can put it in the tank and it'll last for a week or two. Comes in handy when your going away on a trip.

Once a day. 2 or 3 "Betta" pellets and some blood worms. They LOVE blood worms.

Once or twice a day depends on your time

You should let him fast(starve) once a week to clear his system.
