None of the wrestlers think about it too much until times like this. None of them ever know what is gunna happen from one moment to the next. They just go on and entertain cause thats what they get paid for. They will think about it now though. At least a lot more than they use too.

Good Question sometimes it's hard to tell yes but you leave signs even if you don't know you are leaving them and i too have asked myself that same question
Did they ever really care for him or was it just an act i mean if they did why did they not step in sooner If indeed he did send those messages which doesn't reconcile with medical evidence but if he did they were a clear Cry For help
And they did nothing about it
I still believe that it was a hit made to look like a murder suicide
The Crossface they say was done was not even done the correct way and there was no evidence on the son that he had been in the clutches of a choke hold by his father
A lot of wrestlers know the Crippler Crossface. In Fact Dean Malenko Taught it to Chris Benoit.
This investigation is being botched big time
R. I. P . Chris Benoit

First things first. People above commenting on how the VT shooter was a surprise are just plain wrong. That guy had been in psychiatric consoling and all of his classmates knew he wasn't right. He was the first person people thought of when that tragedy happened.
On Benoit, sometimes the people you are closest to can't see, or will not admit when something is wrong.

There are no 'warning signs' to things like this. He simply snapped, whether because of steroids or not. I don't get why that's hard to understand for so many people. "How could you not see this coming?" It's part of the business: the stress, the depression, etc. It's not something that is unique to a particular wrestler.
Benoit only had a couple of close friends, and even with them he kept to himself. Do you know your co-workers innermost secrets?

It's often hard to tell. Like they say: hindsight is 20/20. Looking back it seems like there were probably some warning signs that should have been noticed. But it's not like someone could have predicted something like this would happen based on those.
