Fake Animated or Fake Live-Action? Animated "fake" groups include The Banana Splits, The Chan Clan, The Neptunes ("Jabberjaw") and my personal favorite, The Cattanooga Cats. The Groovie Goolies TV show also featured several "fake" bands including The Mummies and the Puppies, the Spritis of '76, and the Rolling Headstones (a/k/a Daddy Dewdrop, who scored a Top Ten hit in 1971 with "Chick-a-Boom").
