This question isn't even close it's OJ Simpson. Had he played in a 16 game season nobody would have broken that yet. Bush is good but doesn't even compare to OJ.

OJ Simpson is the most impressive. He has managed to set the all-time season record (at that time) for rushing in a season. He managed to follow-up his career by being a model citizen and raising his wonderful adaptive children.
He has spent the last several years searching golf courses all over the country for the murderer of his ex-wife.
