Telling the difference between the boys and girls is not an easy task.

Even experienced breeders and vets get it wrong too. I can't tell you how many times people get it wrong, but it is also funny too. I know quite a few bunnies that were given boys or girls names because no one could tell if it was a boy or a girl.

Once a male bunny reaches a certain age, sometimes two pink finger like sacs will become visible. Females do not always have a dewlap and it's definitely not a sign that the bunny is a female.

Do not press or poke any area of the bunny's genitals, you may hurt it without knowing it. Best suggestion is to take your rabbit to a bunny saavy vet and have them tell you if it's a boy or girl bunny.

You wont be able to 'see' anything. Gently feel just under the hole right under the tail. Dont poke or prod too hard. If its a male and he's old enough U should be able to feel his genitalia. If you dont feel anything, either he's not quite old enough yet or its a female. Take him to a vet if U want to be sure. Also female bunnies are usually a little bigger than males.

it's actually kinda hard to sex rabbits. the best way is to GENTLY turn them on their backs (it's best to have someone else hold them while you check). gently palpate the area between their legs. if the bunny is old enough (over 5 months) you should be able to feel the testes if it's a boy. the girls will have a Y shape. basically your best bet is if you don't feel anything, and you're sure you don't, then it's a girl. make sure you're very gentle while you're checking.

lol... that happened to me we bought 2 bunnys and the guy at the store was confused about there gender. i got a white rabbit (girl) but he said it was a guy. i later found out it was a girl when it had babies! but she died while having them :(

a little humor first-=by its name, like peter cotton tail's tale-that is a boy
another way is by which one has the babies-the females have the babies.
if you look underneath when it goes #1 its a boy-they have innies that come outies when doing #1

if u look then and dont see anything its a girl.

I agree with "Makemeaspark" about guys that say they love and commit but wont marry, "The heart is decietful." Jeremiah, but it is not just the hurting ones that fall for believing a guy when he says he loves you, and lets be together. Sometimes you believe because you believe (in innocence) that truth and lies are obvious. And in your arrogance (or youth) you think you can tell the difference. You trust and are deceived, and there are those who are loyal even after the deception is revealed, out of duty, out of fear, out of a misguided loyalty...wow it still hurts. Sometimes they stay because they feel stupid and worthless and have no where else to turn. so I prayed "Jesus I am sorry for my sins, come into my heart and help me, be my friend, amen."
Its all good and now as a Jew who has come to know Jesus is my Messiah, savior, and best friend giving me joy beyond words and power to live right. And someone said this for me telling them this too
