Right-hander Domingo Guzman, releasesed at the end of last season by the Chunichi Dragons, joined his third Japanese team on Friday when he signed with the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles.

The 32-year-old pitched in seven games over the past two seasons for the Dragons, who acquired him on waivers in 2004 after he was released by the Yokoham BayStars. He has a career record of 26-26 in Japan with a 3.91 ERA.

His best season was in 2004, when Guzman went 10-5 for the Central League champion Dragons.

Guzman, who will be registered under his first name, was released last season with elbow trouble
