It becomes second nature after awhile. But sometimes they can be annoying like in stop and go traffic. I used to drive standard only when I was a teen wanting to fast and the furious. But after I got into performance auto transmissions, I haven't looked back. Still have a manual for a little fun here and there.

Only on hills when you can't get going and the car rolls backwards.
You should learn how to drive a standard shift cause someday it may be a matter of life or death to be able to drive one.
It does get easier the more practice you have. It is second nature.

If you ever have to replace an automatic transmission you will wish you had a manual one, the cost difference is doubled. You get better mileage and more power from a stick also. I like them because they give you a better feel for the car and driver connection, so you don't just feel like a passenger. Good luck

automatic is inconvenient. soooo much more control with standard. like playing a guitar after you learn you dont think about what you play you just do it.

Stick shift will become like second nature after a bit. It gives you a lot more control of your vehicle, but can become a bit tiresome in heavy/stop-and-go, traffic.

If you have a girl friend wouldn't you rather hold her hand our shift, also the resale price is less.I can't stand shifting from corner to corner.Unless it's a corvette, or some wild muscle car then she can hold her own hand??

long commute.....not inconvenient.....
I can control my speed better and it gets better gas milage as an automatic wastes motor rotations......a manual tranny each rotation of the motor is transferred to the trans gear box
