get a life

Yes but contrary to popular belief no two person will have the same meanings in their dreams - the only person who can accurately decyper your dreams is you! These sysmbols are developed through our personal experiences, However having said that as we all grow up in the same culture we have some basic similarities in symbolisms

- To understand the meanings of your dreams you first need to begin recording them - to do so you need to record certain points:
* the basic outline of your dream
* any particulars that reallyt stand out - people, animals or other features
* colours, smells, sounds etc
* any repeating themes
- Next you need to jot down anything that immediately jumps out at you such as: say you see water and you are terrified of swimming in real life, then water for you obviously represents a fear.
- Then you need to look a bit deeper into the dream - try to work out what other points have meanings for you: say you see an ex boyfriend - what did that person mean to you, how did they make you feel about yourself etc
once you have done this you should start to see points that begin to weave together...

Example: you dream that you are at a house with some small children, you hear a report on the radio that some lions have escaped from the zoo. Then you realsise that the lions are nearby and you have to save the children. You realise that you can not get out without getting caught by the lions.

decypering this dream:
* houses generally represent something about ourselves - security and safety.
* Small children represent ourselves - our vunerability, and innocence
* Lions are big dangerous animals - (an easy one) danger
* You having to save the children - helping to protect yourself, your vunerability is being threatened.
* you can't escape - you feel trapped.....therefore this dream would be your subconsious trying to tell you that a particular situation you are in is a 'danger' to you and you need to help yourself and get out but you are trapped by your fears......

Repeatative dreams are our subconscious trying to tell us that we are not getting the point!!!!!

Some people think that it is just your subconscious to reshuffle events, emotions and thoughts, to "reboot" our brains? Or is there more to these nightly mental adventures?
I think that some dreams do have meaning. I am one that dreams things before they happen which can be pretty scary at times. I had a dream and I was in a field and my mom was standing there and I went to meet her. When I got there she was gone. I searched and searched and could not find her anywhere. The next night I had another dream and it was my aunt who had past away years ago. She was telling me in the dream that I was going to lose my mom. She would have a heart attache and we would find her in her home. We went straight to my mom and she went to the dr and all. They told her that she was healthy as could be and that her heart was ok she got the complete bill of health. Two months after my dream I got up in the morning and took my kids to African Lions Safari for some family time....Only to come home and discover that my mom had been found in her house that evening. She had a heart attach the night before and when my sister went to check on her and take her for coffee like she always did she found her in her chair. So do i believe dreams mean things yes I do.
I guess it all depends on the individual and their beliefs. And that is ok too. as everyone is entitled to his or her beliefs and opinions.

Not all dreams do, but some of them do, and some can just let you know that maybe something is bothering you more then you realized, not really a meaning but just letting you know to deal with whatever it is.

Of course they do.
Dreams are the way that people work through their problems that took place during the daytime.
Without dreams, the world would be scary to live in.

For the most part, yeah. Sometimes they're just your mind working out things you can't seem to work out in your waking life. But I also get messages from my spirit guides in my dreams, and spirits come to me in my dreams, sometimes show me themselves or their lives.

i think they somewhat do. sometimes when i have a dream i go and look up certain things online and it tells me why i had that certain thought. for example i was being chased and the onling source stated that i am fearing something and trying to avoid it. kinda catchy. just felt like sharing . lol.
