Open .zip compressed folders? I am using windows XP

Don't download anything!

Just right-click the file and choose EXTRACT or use EXPLORE if you want to see what's inside.

Why are people so quick to tell you to download this ot that when XP already has the ability to do the job?
(Perhaps that should be posted as a question)

You need to download a program like WinZip. It extracts the compressed files. http://www.winzip.com/index.htm

download winzip free trial. you can use the free trial version for years and years! then when you click on the zip file, winzip will start up and open it for you.
