How much do you tip them? Ok, isn't the tip already included because they charge $1.00 for delivery? I'm a teenager and I don't work so I don't really have money to give them. Money is hard for me to get so how can I tip them?

$2 dollars is a good tip. These guys make minimum wage.. I always find it sad when u see a 50+ person delivering pizza.

I'll put it this way.. someday you will no longer be a teenager. and whether it is during college or after college( not everyone gets a good job when they get their diploma-you'll see its sooo much fun..) you too will get a job- waitress, delivery driver whatever-- and when someone whines about having to tip.. you'll get the idea.. now most delivery drivers understand "hey this time you don't have a tip" but the next time tip.. i've known some delivery drivers do some seriously disgusting things to the food of people who don't tip...( that's why i cook at home all the time and tip like a good person if i dare order out!)--as for that $1.00 delivery-- some places actually take that from the driver and give that to the staff...so that lovely tip you don't give(on top of the fact that they get paid less per hour)is just enough to tick a person off. and to end this-- if everyone out there decided that these jobs were below them then how do you think your pizza would get to your mouth???

Absolutely, tip them! And, tip them well. They drive the pizza to your house so that you don't have to go out or cook. The wear and tear on their cars and the cost of gas is their responsibility and they are paid a low hourly wage. They depend on tips!!
Sure, they took the job and knew the pay, but they also knew they would need to depend on tips. I don't think anyone can look down on someone because of the job they have. Not everyone "selects a career" - some people just have to find a job and work.

Yes, you need to tip him because the delivery guy only makes low to minimum wage and needs all tips to make any money. The $1.00 barely covers the gas they use... and depending on where you live, it might not even cover it. What you can do is start a coin jar and dump all your spare change in it and then when the pizza guy comes, give him a few bucks in quarters... getting a few bucks in quarters is better than nothing at all

Always give them at least a $3. tip. They are doing a service for you by bringing it to you so that you don't have to go get it yourself. Especially in bad weather, give them a larger tip. They make very little and tips are what they count on to make up for the cost of gas, plus wear and tear on their cars. If you wouldn't want a job like theirs, think about their time put into it for your conviece. Have a little passion for another human being that's providing a service for you. No I do not deliver, I'm just a person that cares for the people providing you with a service.

If you don't have money to give the pizza guy a decent tip; don't order a pizza to be delivered. Go and pick it up yourself. The pizza shop gets their pizzas delivered free. The driver furnishes the car, and the gas. A lot of times the car belongs to the parent of the driver.
I've only had a pizza delivered twice. I'd rather pick them up myself. From my house it's less than1 mile to the pizza shop; I gave a $3.00 tip each time.

Yes, even if it's only a couple of dollars. Your food is being delivered, and delivery people depend on tips for extras.

I always tip the pizza guy, about 2 bucks, depending on what we order. I doubt that the dollar they charge for delivery even goes to him. If he has to pay for his own gas,he is losing money delivering it to you.

i tip between 3-6 dollars, depending on how much i ordered... don't order pizza for delivery if you can't afford the tip. as someone mentioned, the delivery people don't get paid much and they have to use their own vehicles. given the gas prices these days, 1 buck will get you about 7 miles... put yourself in their shoes, would you like to drive around all night and get one dollar for the 15-20 minutes you spent driving around?

To make your money go further you should go to the grocery store and then make your own food.
You'll get a lot more for your money.
But hey, if you choose to get pizza, tipping goes along with that.
Right??
Get it?
