~~~ Maybe somebody wants to ask a question,but they are unsure of how to ask, so it might come out looking like a stupid question, when it wasn't intended to be. Or they might want to ask one thing ,but are too embarrassed for fear of sounding stupid, so they ask something else entirely which they truthfully don't care about,or already know the answer to. Or they may be lonely and make up a question on the spot....which is usually kind of stupid. By the way,I don't think this is a stupid question. Do you think this is a stupid answer? I hope not because it took me 23 minutes to type it! ~~~

Because this is the very place where we CAN ask a stupid question (and anonymously).
And on rare occasions we receive an answer that is touching, funny, thoughtful, interesting or thought provoking.
An answer far more worthy of our questions.

:):) Humans are a naturally curious breed. Asking a question can sometimes mean that you might already know the answer, but when you ask it, the air seems to lift and you find that you really know the answer all along.:):)

may be youare right at times .sometimes it may look stupid but not neceessarily always. it depends.
