if you marry a woman with children, you're not responsible for them unless you adopt them legally.
her current children have a father, and he is supposed to be paying child support.
you are only responsible for your biological children, or those which you adopt through the courts.
if you are worried about a divorce and child support before you're even married, there must be some trust issues. why bother getting married?

No, you are only responsible for the children you father. The biological father of her children is responsible for child support even if she marries someone else. Only if you adopt her kids will you be responsible for child support if you divorce.

Legally..no you don't have to pay child support unless they have been adopted by you and you are on the new birth certificate. The childrens father should be paying the child support not you. See a family law attorney

No, that is incorrect unless you have adopted all of the children. Each state governs different laws regarding child support. Typically the state will only go after the biological father of the child for support if it is not paid....

Only if you adopt them. Before you EVER even CONSIDER marrying a woman with kids, WATCH her kids for while.
Do they behave and respect her? Then she is doing something right. If she acts embarrassed in front of you while asking little johnny to quit riding over the neighbors cat and threatening to punish him for the umpteenth time, then chances are she is a BAD candidate. You will NOT straighten little johnny out because she will not permit it and he is not YOUR child and she will REMIND you of that.Except when it comes time for you to spend money on him.

I don't believe so, unless you adopt her children from the previous relationship but you should really check with a family law specialist or paralegal. Some attorneys have free consultations.

Only if you legally adopted those children. If not they have to be supported by the biological non-custodial parent .
