Haha, look at the Yankees fans trying to argue. They're done with, the Red Sox are NOT falling apart and there's no way the Yankees can win the wild card because it's coming from the west or the central.

I'm not all the way confident just yet Georgie.Red Sox Second half of the season is something we'll have to play through with better defense and more HITTING!!!!!Our pitching really has no problem, as of now, and our bullpen is still looking sweet. If we can continue our first half accomplishments into the 2nd half, the Yankees will go down into a ball of hot *** victory fire:-)

All of it, Georgie. Most Yankees fans think its the Yankees RIGHT to be in the post season just because they're the Yankees. My mom being the smart Yankees fan she is, has finally realized that they suck and are not going anywhere. Now she just roots for A-Rod who she has on her fantasy team.

the last time the Yankees finished the first half under .500 (in 1995) they made a spectacular comeback to make the playoffs and win the first wild card. in 2005, they started out 8-17 and went on a run that would lead them into another division title. by no means are the Yankees done. they have been in situation like this one in the past and they have fought back to prevail. they can also make a few moves if possible but when Phil Hughes comes back, he will help dominate that comeback. also, have u seen their schedule? they are playing teams like Kansas city, Tampa bay, Baltimore, etc. where they have an easy schedule to start off the second half. they are practically at the .500 mark since they have the completion of the suspended game where they are 6 outs from a win. if this middle bullpen can straighten out, they Yankees have the potential to win something like 18 of 21. THEY ARE NOT DONE!

It is too soon, stranger things have happened. Also, I have no interest in the Yankees since they have defeated my Dodgers seven times in the world series. The Red Sox got this far ahead of them in a half season and a good second half for the yankees, which they are capable of doing, and a few injury and/or pitching problems involving the Red Sox and it could get interesting.

Yeah, I know! But until the Yanks are "officially" eliminated, Yanks' fans will still think they have a chance. Unlike my Cards, who will come from behind and win the NL Central! You have to understand that most Yankee fans were dropped several times on their heads as children, so it's hard for them to comprehend.
Go Cards!!!!!

Yankee fans won't understand that the Spankees won't make the playoffs because they are 99% retarded.
The way the Sox are playing they have NO chance at all.
Even though they have Clemons, they STILL SUCK. It's impossible for them to catch up to the Sox!

its that kind of attitude that kept the red sox out of the playoffs last year. yankees will come back. there next month opponents combined winning percentage: .400. the red sox next months opponents combined winning percentage: .500. they should narrow it down to about 5 games by then, and then we still have 6 games against the red sox. since we usually take 2 of 3 from them, it will be narrowed down to 1 game. and then with the other games and everything, it will be down to the wire. and the yankees last 2 series? tampa bay and toronto. the red sox? minnesota and toronto. yankees will win their 10th straight al east title! 27 in '07 baby!
