It depends on what kind of computer you have. But if it supports dual channel ram then you need two ram chips with identical memory sizes to get the bus speed increase that two chips are required for.

Entirely depends on whether your motherboard supports memory interleaving.

If yes, then installation in pairs is best. If no, then it makes no difference.

well it depends. sum mobos require to put 1 stick in @ a time, others it does not matter.
