I drive a large truck and see this all the time at red lights. Are they trying to expose themselves or is this a comfortable way to sit while driving? Is this where they like the air condition to blow? I see this so often, yet my girlfriend doesn't do it and she can't give me an answer as to why so many women i see throughout the day do this.

If you haven't noticed, many cars come with a foot rest on the far left side of the floor so that you'll have somewhere to put your foot that isn't driving. How do you usually sit? Or how do other men usually sit (since you tend to look at people while driving)? Is it comfortable? If it's comfortable for you then you would have to assume that it would be comfortable for women, right? Women shouldn't have to look cute all the time. If it bothers you, I suggest you stop looking at women's legs in cars.

Hahaha I totally do that on long drives.
I can't speak for everyone else, but in my case, it's because i'm more comfortable. I tend to sit weirdly on a regular basis, though, mostly because I can't sit still. Because I'm fidgetty, it's easier for me to prop up my leg and not have my foot touching the ground; if my foot is touching the ground, I feel like I need to move.
Also, I feel like car seats don't provide my back with enough support, so by propping my leg up I'm forcing my lower back against the back of the seat. Otherwise my back gets cramped and achy.
I know: weird, and it answers nothing. :)

I think it is comfy and someone else stated it helps on long trips to keep your legs from falling asleep. I have noticed truckers looking before though. I usually stop doing it then. And to Sunshine-Im not sure your really a woman if that was your serious answer.

It's not about ventilation, it's just comfortable. And no, I don't do it for the air conditioning.
And I'm sure not to "expose" anything. Obviously I wouldn't do it if I was wearing a short skirt or something.

Yes, I drive like that a lot. Especially on trips when the cruise is on. Nine days out of ten I am wearing a dress too.
What is the deal sweetie? Are you picturing what is between our legs?

It's comfortable, and on a long trip you gotta use all different positions to keep your leg from falling asleep.

I have my legs open because it is comfortable.
I always sit like that, that's why I always wear slacks. Never could get the legs together thing.

I like girls in jeans. It makes them look more city like and it generally does not appear to be they try too hard but if you are looking to get this folks attention, this might not be what you would like

I do enjoy using long skirts occasionally. These are actually more comfortable than Denim jeans and also not as hot to wear.
