He thinks he is above the law and above the constitution and can do whatever he wants regardless of the consequences to other people, even other countries. Well, so far he has been right. Congress needs to stand up to him instead of rolling over like whipped puppies.

His veto, just like the veto of any other President, would not hold up if it could be overruled by a 2/3 majority of Congress. The things he has vetoed, have just passed Congress by a slimmer margin than that - not so much a powerful President as a divided Congress. He appears to have a bigger impact than some recent Presidents, because he is a wartime President and the President is Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces. Because of this, the behavior of any President during wartime is going to appear somewhat less restricted - because in almost every other matter, the President's hands are tied with checks and balances, and he can rarely take direct action without the permission of others. Keep in mind however that actually going to war was ratified by a bipartisan majority in Congress - something a lot of congresspersons with presidential ambitions would like us to forget about now.

1. "Bush has “benefited” from two Attorney Generals who were profoundly dishonest and demagogic. No matter what the Bush administration did, they could be counted on to rubberstamp it as legal - or “close enough for government work” legal."
2. A Republican Congress for six years who blindly gave him everything asked for...no questions asked!
3. Excessive use of presidential signing orders.
4. Massive suppression of truth by officials and supported by the main stream press fearful of their backlash.
5.And distortion of the truth by the State department, White House Press.
6. All this supported by right wing talk show hosts...This medium is very powerful in manipulating the truth!

Well Bush is trying to make people around all cuntries to be free. For example Iraq, Afghanistan and others, they did'nt have freedom. Now hes trying to change the government in Iran, but i want the people of Iran to change it themselves (because i am Iranian BTW). And i know that the fact is 95% of Iranians dont like the govenment and their president... they cant even be taken off ... The poeple vote but the government still chooses someone dumb and monkey headed like the president of Iran right now.
And anywayz, he realy does get what he wants but what can we say? he is a president. ( i realy dont think its fair though)

Other recent presidents, like Reagan and Clinton, spent much of thier time in office faced with a Congress controlled by the opposing party. Bush only has to deal with that for two years - and it's a slim majority, so his vetoes are hard to override.

For six years in office he had a republican majority in the House and Senate who rubber stamped everything he wanted. Even now everything they say is just empty words since they still support him and will not override his vetos.

Because it's now or never for the NWO to take shape. He's in perfect position. Business man, oil tycoon, skull, freemason. Corporate America owns him. He has power because we the people have been veiled with ignorance by propaganda and mainstream media. He is the figurehead to a much bigger plan.

I think it is because we have the worst Congress in history. The democrats were elected to a majority in the house for only one reason, the end the war in Iraq. Those worthless cowards caved in on the first suggestion of a veto.

That is just what the media and the spineless congress wants you to believe.
The executive branch has little or no actual power in our government. Think about it. Only Congress can make laws. Only congress can approve money to be spent, Only congress can send us to war. Only congress can reorganize the government. ETc., Etc.
Wake up, and stop listening to the biased main stream media.

He does not have any more power than other presidents. He is just more selfish and just does whatever the hell he wants to do, regardless of how it hurts American and the American citizens as long as it will somehow benefit Bush and/or his cronies.
