Everyone hates on Kobe for him not getting a championship without an good center. Do you think Shaq would have got another ring without another good player like Wade. They both needed eah other it was there destiny to be together. Think about it if Shaq went to the Hawks would he have got another championship with Josh Smith NO! If Kobe went to the Rockets with Yao would he have got another championship yes!

At least Shaq knows when to step down the spotlight when the team needs him. Kobe just hugs the limelight and doesn't want to let go even if it will benefit his team in whole.

Kobe could not win a championship with Yao because he would defer to Kobe and would not demand the ball. Shaq demanded to get the ball. And the Rockets have talent in Shane Battier and Tracy McGrady around Yao and he still hasn't done anything. We all know you need more than one superstar, but Yao is not one.

i'm not putting down any player all of those players are great even shaq but your question points out one great idea of basketball that no one can do it alone mvp or not one needs the other wad needs shaq and shaq needs wade - kobe needs shaq shaq needs kobe this just proves that team work will beat any great individual
