On most business news websites there will be some link to show the holdings, or at least the major holdings, of many of the funds. I was just looking at an Ishares ETF for another question. EWZ (MSCI Brazil Index) gives the basic data on the ishares.com site, as an example, the there was a link to show the more detailed holdings (see links below). Go to the mutual fund websites and you will find something like that too, or there are links from WSJ or BusinessWeek's websites.

You can usually find top holdings in mutual fund marketing material. However, to find all the holdings a fund has on a particular day is nearly impossible. Go to the fund's website and search for top holdings of the fund you're intested in.

Go to Yahoo Finance.
Upper left corner, enter ticker symbol in the box and click "get quotes".
Then, go down left column and click "holdings".
