its about these people on a airplane and they fall asleep and some how all the people around them disapeer and theres only like 7 of them left and they have to land the plane and when they do land it theres noone in the whole airport let alone the town? i saw it a long time ago.....can anyone help me out?

I agree that it sounds like "The Langoliers", which is a movie based on a novella (sort of between a novel and a short story) by Stephen King. It was in a collection called "Four Past Midnight", I believe.
