Born into this world,
With vast potential!
I begin my journey;
Where will it lead me?
I open my eyes,
The world: it lies!

Bewildering, exciting!
I find it so strongly inviting!

The choices you make,
The steps that you take,
Will decide your destiny:
Where you will be,
In eternity!

Such peace and joy is mine!
Life is now a fresh new kind!
His light and love abound:
Meaning and purpose I’ve found!

Suddenly the storm!
With dangers so near!
In its threatening form,
I sink in my fear!
I thought I was strong,
But now, am I wrong?
I struggle and I strive;
In shame I see failure in my life!

I behold the Lord:
I see His glory!
I say yes to God:
"Always! Completely!"
In my helplessness,
I trust His greatness.
As my self-life dies,
I soar with Him freely through the skies!
The perfect God consuming my soul,
Pureness of heart my fervent goal!
A higher plane He is calling me:
"Give up your life to Me: be free!"

Meaning and purpose I’ve found!

What is the meaning of an animal's life? He is happy with that situation. Why do you need more?

If you want to do something amazing, you are just buying into a line that was taught you by others.

Be happy with the little things, like giving someone a compliment. Making a few people feel better is more meaningful than making a million dollars for yourself.

I never thought amazing but after marrying very young and raising four kids, I decided there had to be more and I was right! I traveled, went to Mardi Gras in New Orleans more than a few times, love Key West, traveled abroad and joined a beach house in Dewey Beach, DE for the summer. I sure made up for those teenage years and found out you can still have fun after 40 and 50's!♥♥

“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell (noted 20th century philosopher, mathematician and atheist)

Even atheists will agree that without God, life has no purpose and without purpose, there can be no meaning. When they tell you to:

"Be happy with the little things, like giving someone a compliment. Making a few people feel better is more meaningful than making a million dollars for yourself." (americanhero_aa)

all they are telling you is how you can get a FEELING of self importance. It's only a feeling. They're telling you to spend your life in the pursuit of meaningless feelings.

But if real purpose and real meaning can only come from God, it makes all the sense in the world to seek God even if we don't know for sure that God even exists. I think God put our great need for meaning into our human nature in order to point us toward seeking Him.

There was about 35 years in my life that had meaning and now I am searching again.
I suppose if I get out there more I would find it.
That's how I feel, I just don't know what to do.

first you must find out who you are.

then you will see what you must do.

Think back to the daydreams of a child, think what you are good at enjoy -
then work out how you can use these talents for the benefit of the human race
as this will ensure you will always improve.
