i don't know about you but when i'm out in public where there's alot of people, I tend to be more "conservative" - it's not like i won't say anything but just for plain respect, the way i'll act with friends on a friday night i won't when i'm at the mall with other different types of people (age ranges, etc...)

When i go somewhere out in public, some of my friends are just plain LOUD...i mean, i'll speak up (not be quiet) and laugh but i don't wanna be rude to those around me. Sometimes, when we'll eat somewhere, they'll have their speaker phone on...i find it unclassy...it's obnxious to everyone around you and if you really wanna talk to that person, go somewhere else in private

what do you think?

I don't think it's that rude

I agree it's rude to speak loudly in public. The people that do just want attention or have no manners. I wish I could bring some duct tape and fix em. People that answer their cell phones while at the dinner table whether it be at home or at a restaurant need to be smacked in the head. I turn my phone off as soon as I enter a restaurant.

I am A LOT quieter than you. And you should tell your friends to be nicer to people around you. I don't find that you not talking is rude, I think that talking loud and having your speaker phone on while your eating rude! I mean, if your anywhere besides yyour house, you should have some respect for other people.

Yeah, I agree with you... and it's good that you notice this and don't follow along. I'm assuming they're younger -- and if that's the case then they'll grow out of doing that someday.

I agree. A little consideration for the folks around you is not too much to ask.
