Nope...the only planes I heard about were the 4 that crashed that day. There were other suspects (who were all later arrested) who were on board other planes that were delayed in taking off and then didn't because of the other crashes. The US did NOT shoot down any domestic planes.

They thought there was one plane left for which they could not account, but they did end up finding all planes before about 1 or 2 pm. Some of them were diverted to Canada, Mexico, etc. I'm pretty sure someone would have noticed 1) a plane being shot down, or 2) missing family and friends on these planes.

I do not recall any other planes being hijacked on 9/11. Or any car bombs either. Sounds like you've been listening to conspiracy theories. The losers who make up these false stories have nothing better to do with their time.

Heard it? Yes! Believe it? Absolutely not!!! If planes were shot down many many witnesses would have seen this and there would be a mass outrage so no I don't believe this at all. There were suspicions and could it be possible there were more that had yet to leave the ground? I think that is a huge possibility also.

It was very chaotic day. There were lot of broadcast errors and many reporters did mention info they were receiving was sketchy at times. The order was from Vice President who authorized to shoot down planes ONLY if it is hijacked and if it appeared to be heading for suicide mission. The order came after WTC was hit.

Not me. I know that other planes were suspected to be hijacked, but it turned out to be nothing.
Why wouldn't the US show media coverage on a shot down plane? They were planning on shooting down flight 93 if it came any closer to Washington. There were F-16s that were loaded with air-to-air missiles that were ready to fire at it.
No other planes were hijacked that day.

Early reports said 5 passenger planes were missing, thought to be hijacked, but one of them turned up safe, and had not been hijacked. They just lost track of it for a while in the confusion.

There was a lot of speculation going on but no additional reports of hijackings. The shootdown authorization came after the fact to protect against further similar attacks.

I haven't heard that exact story but there are many conspiracy videos on Google Video. One of the more popular ones you can search for is Loose Change.
