Are you are trying to determine how much zinc is present on a piece of galvanized iron? You could weigh it, then put it in hydrochloric acid untill the zinc is eaten off, then wash it off, dry and re-weigh. The difference will be the weight of zinc present; you can get moles of zinc by dividing the weight of zinc by 65.38. Is this what you are looking for?
