Plug in numbers for x that are greater than zero but less than one. So .1, .2, .3, .4, etc. Solve the equation for y then you have ordered pairs to plot.

Pick several values of x, calculate y, and graph the points.

This will be two U-shaped curves.

you don't plot all real points just on the interval for which the function is being defined (0,1] for the the two functions
