If that old lady rummaging through her handbag for her pennies am going to take her off Medicare and put her is a home as a public nuisance.
And if that teenie bopper behind me doesn't stop popping her gum and screaming inane comments of her cell, the cell will go were the sun doesn't shine. (the old ladies brain case).
Just kidding. What I usually think is why do I spend half my life waiting in line. Am I back in the Marine Corps?

I always think "why in the world are people still writing checks"
and if you have to write a check instead of using a debit card then "why do you wait until the cashier has totaled your order and given you an amount before you ever take the check book out of your purse or pocket?" What is wrong with people??? Why can't they write out the other information while waiting for the cashier to ring up the order. One of my pet peeves, can't you tell???

It depends on what I'm buying. If I'm at the coffee shop, then I think about what I want to order and I look through my wallet to make sure I have enough money. When I'm buying clothes or such, I think about whether I should buy those chocolates or not. You know, the ones that are always at the check out counter at Wal-Mart?

i think about how long it's taking because i'm impatient. but today i started my new job and i work a cashier so i will never think that again. i have new respect for cashiers. lol. and those dang censors on the clothes. uggghh.
