i feel that it would be alot easier to come out with a partner because i know that if my family don't take it so well, i'll have the person that will be there for by my side.

It might be easier with a partner, but coming out is as much as about easing your parents fears. Get yourself prepared and be ready to answer the questions they'll have. Like many parents fear they'll never have grandchildren, or that your life span is shortened. I would go out to PFLAG or HRC and print out some of the coming out information they have for parents. Put those stereotypical myths to rest in your parents mind and it might be easier for them. If your parents are very religious there are other websites that deal with those fears. Email me and I can find those links for you, or you can look at some of the answers I've posted before on this topic to find the links there. I'm not sure how old you are, but if you're a teen still living at home, consider how your parents will react. If there's a chance they will kick you out, make sure you're prepared to deal with that, or put it off until you are living independantly from them. Good luck.

Unfortunately there is no easy way to say that you're a lesbian. But how about if you asked a question like, What if I told yall I was gay? What would yall say? Then, their response will answer the question for you. You can tell them sooner. It won't make a difference because their reaction will still be the same whether you're with someone serious or not.

just calm down and tell your parents. i am sure that you and them can work everything out. it will feel way better knowing that you dont have to keep a secret but dont make it look to much when you are around people but i am sure that they can understand!!!! Good luck!

I would just like it come out on it's own. That is something you can't hide for long. But, if asked then there is your chance.
