ie7 has almost come equal to mozilla but the problem is that it is much slower compared to mozilla. thats the area in which mozilla is better. also mozilla has a better collections of plug-ins and security. so i feel it is the better one

Firefox. Though I personally use Opera more often than Firefox and only have 1 (technically 2) machines that IE can even run on in the extremely rare case that I ever happen to need to use it.
Mainly security reasons.
Admittedly I'm biased against MS products, having dealt with their ridiculous software issues for several years.

For a couple reviews that say Firefox is better:

While overzelous internet users will say FireFox is better, this is simply not the case. The most recent version of Internet Explorer has brought itself up to par with Mozilla FireFox. They're almost identical. However, before the IE update, FireFox WAS better, which is generally why you will hear it is better.

Firefox, fewer bugs, and when/if it crashes, it does not hose up your desktop etc..
