As a parent you should bring some sense of reality into your child's life. Or you can simply not allow them to be sucked into the propaganda of Disney's Princesses. It's all about parenting...don't let Disney do it for you

If you are going to do that, why not sue all the magazines and television programs that cater to females that weigh 87 pounds and look like Barbie dolls? Maybe even Mattel for creating Barbies? Or how about Beer ads that make you think you are sexier for using their particular brand? Or the makers of gourmet dog food, because what do dogs really know about gourmet anyway (as their idea of a good time is to chew on a really smelly sock or shoe)?
Besides aren't most "Prince Charmings" sitting home waiting for their own princes?

There is nothing wrong with fairytales and dreams. My own daughters both still play princesses, yet as a parent I make sure they understand that they need to be independent when they become adults. That they are their own people and the only prince who will rescue them is their own sense and awareness in the big wide world. But for now they are little girls and it is important that they also believe in make believe.
Maybe if a lot of sheen and sparkle and so much pink was at least toned down a little then that would not be such a bad idea. But to sue companies for promoting unrealistic ideals is not credible, it is a parents responsibility to create a pathway of reality that our children can feel grounded on and move along to become strong and independent women.

Disney did not invent Prince Charming...our mothers and grand mothers just kept passing down the stories...actually Prince Charming is older than Walt Disney himself...can't blame it on him...

Why stop with Disney? I mean there are alot of movies out there that teach the same things about love. This certainly would be a endless battle when it comes to portraying love how you may want it to be portrayed. Everyone sees love in a different way and has a different way of expressing it. We all have expectations of who we will meet one day and fall in love with. It truly isn't a bad thing to think that there certainly is
a special someone out there that will not only treat you like you think you should be treated but sweep you off of your feet. Frontally there are people in this life time that do find that special someone and do feel like they have a Prince Charming. Be patient because there is a special someone out there for everyone. Find someone that loves you for who you are!!!!

Someone should sue Disney for that scene in "Beauty and the Beast" when Beast turned into that dorky generic prince. That was probably the only flaw of that whole movie. Beast was proof that charm comes from within, and Beauty would have accepted him despite his appearance.

No, that is something that every girl hope for and if they have common sense when they are older they will know their is no prince charming unless you truly find some one that can be that for your and not the way Disney portrays him.

I Do! there is no way that all us chicks got a prince charming. especially since some us look like we came formunder a rock! geez la weez! then most of the guys that are supposed to be our prince charming has been snatched by some stuck up conceited girl. ARG!!! it so annoying!
