I'm an extremely active listener. I listen for more than just the words being said. I often hear subtle nuances or inflections in the voice that give me a clearer picture of what is really being said, without being said at all.

I usually end up listing to a song over and over again because of the way I listen to music. Sometimes I will only listen to the music it's self. Picking out the piano or the violin or whatever other instrument the artist has put into their song. Then I'll go back and listen to the lyrics and think I've felt this way or ouch that girl must have really hurt him. The I'll go back and listen to how both the words and music fit together. I swear it's an lost art, people don't take advantage of how an instrument or note can really help stress a feeling or a lyric in a song.

But I also pay attention to humans even though they can annoy me. Well, socially I'm a great listener, but my memory doesn't really help.
