How do you type a 'heart'?

Question

On Yahoo! Answers, some people have a black heart with their username or they use it for their answer. How do you type in/make that heart? Is it like, press a certain key while pressing a certain key, or is it simply a special kind of keyboard? Please only answer if you know what I'm talking about.

-then spell[ hearts ]

at the end put[ ; ]

no spaces

so its, & hearts ;

without the spaces


♥ - or press alt and 3 at the same time but not the 3 on the top of your key board the 3 on the side.

You can use the Alt codes to type special characters. Turn on the Num Lock, hold down the ALT key and type in the number using the numerical keypad of your computer (the numbers on the righthand side of the computer, not the ones above the alpha keyboard). The sites below show you some of the major ones.

There is also a character map on your computer. Start ==> All Programs ==> Accessories ==> System Tools ==> Character Map

♥ is like hold down ALT while pressing 3 on the SIDE number keyboard that is controlled by caps. will only work with SIDE number keyboard

In mac, it's easy, just click Edit then special characters and find the symbol then click Insert. I don't know in Windows it's just a certain alt+3 and there it is. ♥ ♡
