We've already got so many animals, I think I'll pass on gettting another one to name "star."
Two ferrets: Scooter was the first, named because he scoots around. Buddy was the second, and is... well... Scooter's buddy.
Two cats: Timone and TC. TC was born the day the Trade Center was destroyed.
An Iguana: Booger. "Boogs" for short. He's green. Need I say more?
Two dogs: Hannah (named after her former keeper) and Ebony (who is a black lab, so the name fit). Both are pound dogs; Hannah originaly came to be placed in the pound by a woman named Hannah.
At one time, we had two caiman crocodiles. Flotsam and Jetsam. Since we have a kid on the way, these two have new homes now.
I could, in your honor, name one of our fish "Star..." but since it's a community tank and many of them look alike, it'd be tough going.
Sorry!

Sam, the maniacal German shepherd.
Who, after six years, still cherishes macho delusions of actually intimidating his sister, Jamie, into letting him eat all her food.
One more foray on her food dish, and we'll be calling him, "Newt."
