I am going to be a freshman in high school and I have a love for band and soccer. I have been going to band camp for the past two weeks and found that it is pretty hard but fun. This week, I have band camp and soccer camp. On one of the days I have soccer camp from 9-12 and band camp from 10-2. The band director is pretty strict with us missing band camp and I really do not know what to do. After the few days of soccer camp I decided that I probably will not try out for the team but my parents paid for soccer camp. Do I go to soccer or band camp on the day that they over lap?

I would talk to both your parents and the band director about the conflict. Ask your parents if they're ok with you focusing on band camp and spending less time at soccer camp.
Also, talk you band director. Although he may be strict about attendance, he may be flexible with students who have conflicts. You'll never know until you ask and it's best not to assume and end up unhappy.

Do you get to shove a flute up your....you know....during band camp....if not....go with soccer.
Just kidding....if it only overlaps ONE day...skip the soccer camp one day. I'm sure the coach will understand.

Soccer of course band all you do is sit but in soccer there is action and its way more exciting!
