I only get respect in the P&S section & not even in that section. Any other section, I either get insulted or reported for asking legit questions. I don't understand how I can get a violation for asking, "How can I improve my study habits?" or something like that. & then I see how other people get best answer for insulting others & insults are a violation. & I, myself, don't report people that much b/c I don't wanna look like a tattle tale or a whiny baby. & when you present a question, the answerers don't try to help you solve your problems. They just give you a long sermon on why YOU were wrong & how stupid you are. It's just a waste of time here. I think I should just quit. I don't know.

Retiring from Y!A is a personal choice that only you can answer for yourself. Not everyone on Y!A is cruel. Some may just get their jollies of of making people bad. However, as in life for every cruel person there is one nice person or one twice as nice. Perhaps if you feel this way and it is upsetting you so much, take a Y!A vacation. Come back later (a couple of weeks, month, etc) and see how you feel.
If you choose to stay on Y!A, just keep being you and don't dwell on those brutal comments. Y!A can be a great, yet addictive experience. There are alot of Y!A answers willing to help, but perhaps the question just never reached the right person.

You're letting bad people win. I've found through experience that I get all the answers that I need here. You get trolls and what not here too, but mainly good people that want to have a good time. Don't leave. I've only noticed you today and I enjoyed your time here. It would be a shame to lose someone like you. It is your choice, but if I can influence you in any way, I wish I could make you choose to stay. We need people like you.

I've been feeling that way myself. I have the same thing happen to me. I ask simple questions and I get a flag or some smart a** has something mean to say. I lost 20 points to day. I know it's frustrating to say the least. I'm going to stick it out a little longer, maybe you can too? I'll keep an eye out for your questions. Try not to take it personally, they don't know you.
