It's a media buzzword (aka 'islamofascist') that describes 'Islamism' - the politicization of Islam that occured in response to the failure of pan-Arabism and Arab Nationalism.

I consider it to be a PC term. The correct language is the War Against Islamic Fundamentalist Militants. They are not fascists, they are theocrats who want to establish Islamic theocracies in all the countries of the world. We fight it by: beefing up security at home (more border patrol and ICE agents), building the border fence with Mexico, increasing deportations of illegal aliens, not allowing any more Muslim immigrants into the country, implementing the Real ID Act, and passing the Secure the Border First Act of 2007 in the US House.

It is just what the name implies. Just like other fascism only driven by Islam rather than state-ism. The only way to win a war is to destroy the ability &/or will of your enemy to fight. That is what we should do. You can't win a war being politically correct.

Islamic fanaticism is a non-sequitor.
Fanaticism is a right-wing authoritarian model that demands strict government hierarchy.
Islam is a religion, and in fact yes, a religion that teaches peaceful co-existence with others.
Granted, there are extremists who kill in the name of Islam. But they are not trying to create any form of government, religious or otherwise.
So, the people following the core tenets of Islam are not trying to create a fascist government. And the fringe fanatic lunatics who are killing people are not trying to create any govt.
So, the term is a non-sequitor.
