Each terrorist act brings liberals scrambling to remind us that, "Islam is a religion of peace." Any condemnation of the thousands of murders, terrorists acts and atrocities perpetrated in the name of Islam always brings liberals to mumble something lame about, "Every religion has it's extremists, Christians kill abortion doctors".
Yeah...ok

What have there been 2 or 3 abortion doctors killed in the last 30 years? Ah, but liberals have their priorities, you see.

My suspicion is that the Left had been deeply demoralized by the downfall of the communist USSR and Eastern Europe. They were looking for another power to challenge the so called Western "hegemony". Radical Islam fits the bill

Look no further than communist dictator Hugo Chavez to confirm evidence of this emerging alliance between the radical Left and radical Islam. He declared the Iranian despot Ahmadinejad his "brother". "We have thoughts, objectives and interests in common," Ahmadinejad said.

Indeed

Because this is a fallen world in which we live and Satan rules over it for the time being and the people who love this world are going to love everything about it.

Christians belong to God and our home is in Heaven and not in this world.

Muslims are very deeply rooted in the world with all of it's death and fleshly desires and the modern day Liberal who also loves this world will also love Muslims because like them they belong to this world also.

But they hate Christians because we do not belong here and we do not want anything that this world has to offer because this world has nothing in which to offer us.

I somehow think that people who hate Christians do so because they think that Christians are going to judge them or point out their sins to them.
But any Christian that does that isn't a real Christian and is only a self righteous hypocrite.
But for some strange reason they seem to think that Muslims are going to accept them and spare them if they go on a Jihad rampage.
When in reality no one is spared the sword when it comes to Islamic Jihad.
Not even Muslims themselves.
For thousands of years Muslims even before they became Muslim have been killing each other for any and every reason you can imagine.

So for the Liberals to think that they can tame the savage beast by appeasing him is very foolish indeed.

For your information, Islam isn't very cozy with a lot of the leftist views, such as abortion, sexuality -especially, homosexuality, freedom of speech, and separation of church and state. As you may know, homosexuality, pornography, unchecked free speech, and total separation of church and state are things that Islam declares sinful.

I really think that you're question reflects your own bigoted view that Islam condones terrorism. Terrorism by definition, means one of either:
"1. the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, esp. for political purposes.
2. the state of fear and submission produced by terrorism or terrorization.
3. a terroristic method of governing or of resisting a government. "

That, you see, is the type of ideology that reminds me of certain governments that this country supports, and of tactics commonly used around the world to suppress revolution and people speaking out.

And about Hugo Chavez and Ahmadinejad: obviously they are both a little messed up in the head. You should understand that Iran's position against the US is a result of many things, including Prez Bush lumping Iran into the "Axis of Evil." How in the world can you label a whole country as evil, and then expect that they will somehow cooperate and love you in return. A former president who was much more intelligent than Bush, Ronald Reagan, made a similar but less direct statement about the USSR, calling them an "evil empire." But if you look at the context, Reagan's statement was a lot more fitting than Bush's.

Anyway, let me make one modification to the statement: "Islam is a religion of peace." Yes, I believe than when Islam is implemented correctly it can bring about great peace. Find out about Islam, the mainstream version of Islam that is, and you should see that Islam's rules aim to bring about peace and stability. But the word "Islam" really means "submission", that is meaning submission to the will of God.

Islam prohibits the killing of innocent civilians and noncombatants. If an army of soldiers is attacking a Muslim country, then that Muslim country must defend itself against them, because if they didn't their land could be converted to a different religion.

For your information also, Christianity's extremists do a lot more than kill abortion doctors: just do a little research into it - in the past Christianity was used as an excuse to massacre countless people ruthlessly during the Chrusades. Just like there are fundamentalists who may twist around and distort words from the Qur'an to rationalize killing innocent people, there are also fundamentalists who may take words from the Bible to rationalize killing innocent people, among other things. And there still exist radical Christians who are terrorists, but whenever a Christian commits a large-scale terrorist attack, like Timothy McVeigh, they never mention that this person was a Christian. But whenever any person who is even a slightly practicing Muslim commits a crime somewhere, overseas or here, they always mention the word "Islam" or "Muslim." Why? Because of the evident bias in this country's media, reflecting on those pulling the strings behind the scene, that aims to alienate and portrary Islam as a religion that supports terrorism.

I believe this question is best answered by a Liberal (Socially, more centrist but still somewhat left on economic policies) Atheist. I absolutely hate that people give Islam a free pass. It is a violent, intolerant, religion and certainly isn't "beautiful" as I so often hear it called. I'm not a fan of any religion at all, but I especially dislike Islam because of its hostility and the way it degrades women (I am a man). Now, just because I hate the religion doesn't mean I hate Muslims, most don't follow their holy document completely, just as Christians don't. Nonetheless it doesn't deserve to be shielded from criticism at all.

The reason why we have posted so many comments on this blog throwing stones at each other is cos we donot follow one common religion which we should, That is LOVE AND EFFECTION towards fellow humans, Neither the Americans have that nor the Brits nor the Ladens nor the Iraquis nor the fighting Africans.

Yes.

There are problems with Christianity, but these are dwarfed by those inherent in bloody, evil Islamofascism.

Islamofascists and Leftists are natural allies. They both fight to establish tyranny everywhere on Earth.

Just call in Hitler-Stalin Pact Part 2.

No you are not correct. First off I have never said "Islam is the religion of peace." All I have ever said to defend Islam is that not all Islamic people are terrorists...because people (like yourself) tend to stereotype and thin all Islamic people are...it is only the extremists. Second have never said Christians kill abortion doctors...because I am half Christian so that makes no sense. You post no source and your views are highly skewed. Educate yourself before you say things like this.

The thing is Liberals can see where they are coming from. If you are a true Christian and have the faith you would choose to die for Jesus' name sake. They also feel this way but to an extreme and they believe so strongly that Allah has called on them for this. You have to wonder with all the other stuff going on if this IS the end.

Chavez supports Ahmadinejad. OK. But neither of them are liberals.

Religious fanatics have killed in the name of Islam, and in the name of Christianity, and in the name of almost every other major religion. So what.

Are you saying it's ok to only kill a few people in the name of religion? Where do you draw the line? 10 dead? 100? 1000?

You also seem deeply confused about the fact that liberal philosophy has nothing to do with communism. Communism is an economic model that supports govt (community) ownership of property. As implement, it is conservative and authoritarian (fascist). Liberals want freedom and individual choice, not government control. So, there is again no relation.

Indeed. You see to simply hate a bunch of people who disagree with you, and then try to lump them all together, completing ignoring the fact that none of them have anything to do with the others.

Have you noticed that the Republican party is not consistently misquoting Christian scripture and trying to paint all Christians with the same brush as a radical minority.
If they were then liberals would come to thier support as well.
And since Chavez does not represent American liberalism any better than French extreme right winger Le Pen represents American conservatism it is a mystery why you throw that red herring in.
The left do not support radical islam - it is the oil controlled right that needs to keep the brutal Saudi princes on side.
When you fight dangerous radical islam we support it.

I posted a question regarding the hypocrisy of the ACLU, the left and our public schools where Christianity and Islam are concerned and the libs showed their true colors when they went on the defense of Muslim prayer in school.
So, yes, I have noticed that there does seem to be a lot of venom spewed at Christians, but surprisingly - or not - a deep, deep, deep, deep, wanting to understand and accept those who practice Islam by many on the left.
