Come to terms with your own self-image and self-confidence. Learn to love yourself and the way you look. Otherwise it will haunt you the rest of your life.

Options

- Get a suit that flatters your body type. Anyone can look good in a bathingsuit if they get the right kind!

- Remember that the more you swim the more fit you'll become.

- Confidence is attractive and who cares what everyone else thinks? Remember that.

- Make it a goal to get more fit. If you hate your body the way it is, do something about it! The more you get in the pool and swim and kick and workout, the more you'll tone up! Swimming may be the perfect activity for you because you'll get used to being in a swimsuit and you'll get a good workout.

Good luck!!!

If you really like swimming you shouldn't let any worries about your body stop you. The people around you are probably more worried about how "they" look in their swim suits and who is perfect anyway??? Swimming is such great exercise and will do you good. Some people don't like getting their hair wet too and avoid swimming and that is such a shame. Try not to focus on how you think you look and focus on enjoyment of the water> Maybe even join a water aerobics class and you will see all shapes and sizes there?? and help you with your confidence.

You will have to build confidence. I have found that if I use sunless tanning lotion, my skin (which also has stretch marks), looks so much better. The stretch marks are almost hidden & I Iook thinner. I found a "flattering to my body type" swim suit that accentuates my good points and hides my bad points. There are lotions (nivea) that work wonders with cellulite also. The nivea one works great. I highly recommend it. Good luck

Your options are to

1) Not care what people who you don't even know thnk of you because you'll never see them again

2) Be reassured that the people you do know will not care about your body if they truly are your friends.

3) Not swim

4) get your own pool

hope I could help

There are some swimsuits that have a bit of a "skirt" thing, too, which might look nicer than shorts.

Or hey, just keep wearing shorts. Perhaps you don't even have to explain it.

Look sweetie, show everyone that you love who you are, talk to yourself and tell yourself that you are beautiful the way you are! If it makes you comfortable, wear shorts, or you could try tanning lotion. How I helped!

There's no need to embarass... Be confident of yourself. Don't care about what people say.
