somehow my broadband isnt working so i have to use dial-up for a while.....just wondering if there is any way i can connect my laptop to internet without having to stick to one place with wires connected....and have my freedom to move around!!

It cost a bit more then Dial up but you can get AirCard from your Cell phone provider and go wireless. You can get a USB aircard so you can use it in both the Laptop or Desktop. The upside is that its a bit faster then dial up.

Yes if you have a wireless network and you setup your main PC as a proxy server.

1. Install a proxy server program on your main PC
(something like http://www.wingate.com)
2. Connect your main PC to the internet with your dial-up modem
3. Setup your browser on your laptop to connect to your proxy server (in IE TOOLS > OPTIONS > CONNECTIONS > PROXY SERVER "name of your prxy server PC")
4. that's it! surf & email away! albeit very slowly - lol

yes connect your main PC via dial up and network your laptop to your main PC
you will have to reset up your net con on main PC advising other PC's use it to access the net
and laptop to access via main pc
assuming both are wireless to begin with

no. no wireless routers work with dial up. get braodband
