venom is not the only form of toxin poseseed by lizards ie. the komodo dragon caries a fast acting leathal bacterial toxin in its saliva

The Gila monster (Heloderma sucpectum) and the Mexican beaded lizard (Heloderma horridum) are the only two venomous lizards in the world. They are very similar in appearance.

**The bacterial pool in the saliva of the Komodo dragon is slow acting. It will take a couple of days to kill it's intended prey.

The Gila monster is found in SW US and N Mexico. The Beaded Lizard is in Mexico

Mr.Bat, where have you been??? ... I would say the gila monster, a lizard that from what I understand, has no rectum! and his "bile" exist it mouth therefore rendering the bite very infectious or deadly. ... I rode the Arizona desert on dirt bikes and hiked a lot and never seen one! I guess that is a good thing considering! hey, do you realize you look like "Mickey" off OCC?
