Dune, by Frank Herbert, it would be hard, and the movie would probably be long but it could turn out pretty good if they get good actors, and stick to the book (I know it's been made already, I want a GOOD version though).

Me I would like to see the rameses series by christian jacq made into a movie
or a little known book called the medussa stone by jack du brul would make a great adventure movie

but frankly the fact that they are making the whole clive cussler books into movies is a dream in the making, and sahara (the first movie they made from his books) wasnt bad at all.

I would like to see a version of Robert Heinlen's "Starship Troopers" that was faithful to the book (not that I didn't like the spin Paul Verhoeven and Edward Neumeier put on the book). Then I would like to see a good version of "The Forever War" by Joe Haldeman. Together they would make interesting bookend movies.

I would also like to see just about any of David Drake's military themed science fiction books or David Weber's Honor Harrington space opera series made into movies.

Inkheart by Cornelia Funke because it's so magical and I'd love to see a good fantasy film.

My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult because it's such a thought provoking book and it's a great story. I'd love to see who plays Anna.

Uglies by Scott Westerfeld because I'd love to be able to see a sci-fi flick without getting confused about words like Narplockalac (which isn't a sci-fi term I've ever heard, but I'm just saying).

Great question! Imagine if all the books we choose actually turn into movies someday! =)

I would love to see Twilight by Stephenie Meyer made into a movie; which actually could be made sinceTwilight has been optioned by Summit Entertainment. It would be wonderful to see the characters come to life on the screen! If you haven't read the book, you should seriously consider it, vampires, love, a good hunt. It's a great book!

Nora Roberts' Northern Lights
Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic series
J.D. Robb's In Death series
A. Scott Berg's Kate Remembered--though they would have to find someone astounding to play Katharine Hepburn and this may be impossible...
