Hello. With the exception of Pluto, the Jovian planets are gas giants. This information is straight out of my astronomy book.
Jupiter: 80% hydrogen, helium, oxygen, sulfer and nitrogen are also found in the atmosphere where they mix with the predominating hydrogen to form water, hydrosulphides, and ammonia.
Saturn: mostly hydrogen, 5% helium, trace amounts of ammonia and hydrocarbons. Saturns atmosphere contains more sulfer than Jupiters
Uranus: Mostly Hydrogen, helium, methane. The methane is what aborbs the red light from the Sun giving Uranus the blueish appearance.
Neptune: Hydrogen, helium, methane. Neptune's atmoshpere has the highest wind speeds in the solar system, up to 2000km/hr.
I hope this helped.
Razor...The four outer planets are known as the Jovian planets, implying their similarities to the planet Jupiter.

Hydrogen.
Just about everything outside the earth is made of hydrogen since hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe. Probably because it's so easy to make. The recipe is: 1 proton, 1 electron, stir.
Hydrogen. What a gas!

its tiny core is of solid hydrogen, surrounded by oceans of hydrogen.
the atmosphere is mainly hydrigen, helium, methane and ammonia.

As for those who are saying tht jovian planetS are all gas giants(jupiter, saturn, uranus, neptune) - then plz refer to any dictionary and you'll see tht the word jovian refers to roman god jupiter,or the planet junipter.
