In a world populated with such a huge number of Islamic nut cases, ready and willing to kill us in horrible and cowardly ways, for such childish reasons, are we being foolish to worry more about their rights and welfare than our own?
Should we be protecting our image, or taking the offensive, anywhere we see an opportunity, to protect Americans everywhere?

WISDOMFORFOOLS---We have always pretty much ignored our own laws in times of war.--But we always regain our rights afterward.
Can we bring you back if you're killed by terrorists.

TRUTH---I thought our troops were recruited to protect us. Or were we recruited to protect them?---Why is it that most of our troops don't agree with you, and even think people like you have retarded their progress?

NICK F---Many Sunnis have now joined us in fighting terrorists.
Can you tell me how many terrorists have been killed there, or have you only been counting Americans?
It has been estmated that the ratio is about 6 terrorist to 1 American.
Have we had this kind of ratio in other wars?
Don't believe it,--- look it up.
Do you believe your comments help the moral of our troops?

MICHEAL R--- You're a 1000 watt lamp in the darkness.
Why is it that cowards think they know how to help brave soldiers.
I served in the Korean war and I recall how most of us hated the liberal moral killers.

This is so easy, you really have handed me a softball.

Of course the Bush-Haters are misplacing their fear. Or, rather, I should say they are using it as an excuse to try to gain office again. You see, when Clinton was in office, all of the Democrats were very much in belief that Sadam had weapons of mass destruction. At that time, the Democrats were willing to go to the ends of the earth to say that Sadam was a threat and that terrorists were threats.

Now days, we have a Republican in office and the Democrats say. The terrorism is over rated. It is just the Republican President's way to try to scare us. And it us the United States who is bringing destruction on ourselves and causing the Terrorist to hate us.

So, to answer you question, yes, we should be protecting something, but it is not our image. We should be protecting ourselves from the radical and not-so-radical islamist who are out to kill anyone who is not of their faith.

We should be, but will the Democrats who seem to have only one goal in life... Regain the Presidency... allow us, or will they continue to do what was considered treason only 100 years ago... and that is undermine the current President. Come on... When have we ever heard of a Republican Former President bad-mouthing a sitting Democrat President.

And, what would have happened if in World War II we had decided that all POWs needed to be giving a lawyer and the same rights as a US Citizen.

I hope this helps, but fear the Democrats will not allow it. By the way, as long as I am on this soap box. I really dislike hearing someone call them Democratic Politicians. They are Democrats, but definitely not democratic. In fact, I see them more as socialist!

Oh, and I am NOT a Republican. I am more of a Libertarian. :) Slightly conservative, but none the less Libertarian.

I hear where you are coming from, but it is obvious that the people here don't really care about what you are saying.

Those are the ones who haven't yet waken up to reality. They don't see that there were cases of terrorist activity going to happen here in America. They don't see that these radicals want to destroy America and Israel. They don't see that these radicals would rather have us convert or that they can use us as a lamp shades. They don't think that these radicals are serious and that 911 to them, was all but a dream. They don't think that another Holocaust can happen. They don't think that the Iranian President would do such a thing to destroy Israel and America.

Yes, we should be protecting ourselves and our country. We shouldn't let these cowards destroy us, we should fight for self-defense. We should all protect eachother from the enemy even the enemy within.

The Bush-haters still need to wake up and let reality sink in. I will NOT let these radicals destroy me or my family!

Let's start with the simple fact that the Constitution mandates we treat everyone equally, regardless of religion.

But aside from that, look at the numbers. Roughly 20% of the world's population is Muslim. That's about 1.3 Billion people, give or take.

Let's say that there are as many Islamic terrorists as their are Coalition troops in the Middle East. I think that's the upper limit, because if our troops were actually outnumbered, casualties would be much higher.

That's roughly 130,000 out of 1.3 billion or 0.01% -- 1/100th of one percent.

Compared to 1% of the US population being felons.

So, yes I think its' reasonable to respect the rights and welfare of the other 99.99% of the population that happen to follow a religion that a few fanatics choose to kill for.

I would sure like to take a peek into the personal life of all those Bush-haters. I would bet that many are soldiers trying to bug-out on their military contract now that they have to fight, also their friends and relatives, young people who are afraid they might restart the draft, and the Jane Fonda/John Kerry liberals who want to help us loose any war we get into.
So many young people today have found that they can escape their duty by protesting any assignment that might put them in harm's way.
People from other parts of the world may be right when they call America the "Paper Tiger".

The number one fear in their mind is global warming which will cause some problems in 300 years, instead of the Islamic Extremists controlling the wealth of Iraq, which would cause problems in 5 years.

Some of you people are just looking for any excuse to hate Muslims. You are incapable of separating the individual from the groups.

If a black person robbed you at gun point, would you then hate all blacks? He wouldn't be shocked to hear about some of your other prejudices.

Statistically speaking, you are more likely to be struck dead by lightening than be the victim of terrorist activity. Why don't we just have a war on weather patterns instead?
